We have been following the DMV's superstar, Wale (pronounced Wha-lay) since late 2007, but he has been on the scene since 2005 when he dropped his first mixtape, Paint a Picture. He has followed up with releases every year since, Hate Is The New Love in '06, 100 Miles & Running in 2007, and The Mixtape About Nothing in May of 2008. Wale's management team has made it public in the last two months that Wale will not only be putting out a mix tape with North Caralina based producer, 9th Wonder and releasing his album next month, but will also be collaborating with indie rock band, TV On The Radio within the next year.
