With "stars" Eddy Curry and Stephon Marbury on the bench since the start of the season, the Knicks seemed to be on a road to recovery. After a terrible day at school ( failing a math test and getting my phone taken away) I come home to read the news that not only has Jamal "CLUTCH" Crawford been traded... but newly fueled and fellow team top scorer Zach Randolph as well. Now i dont really have much to say on Zach Randolph due to the fact that his hot streak might have ended eventually and the Knicks would fall into their mid season slump as usual but JAMAL CRAWFORD!!?? Come on! He has not only been a fan favorite and high scorer for years in New York but you never hear about him getting fined off the court for behavior detrimental to the team or league. He's a stand up guy on and off the court. With the loss of Jamal Crawford and the highly unlikely chance of Stephon Marbury suiting up in a New York uniform on game night ever again, in my eyes the New York Knicks have not only lost their leader to reclaim but their identity as well. Oh and did i mention they got rid of Renaldo Balkman over the summer as well?! You could argue that these were great deals in the fact that they were made to free up space for the 2010 off season where the free agent pool will be headlined by the likes of Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, and LeBron James. But for now I remain disgruntled and what else is new? an unhappy New York Knicks fan. I guess the proof will be in the paint (literally). What do you think about the trade and the direction the Knicks are going in? Let us know your thoughts people!

Hey... You win some and you lose some, but this trade needed to happen. Look at it from a business standpoint cause at the end of the day pro basketball is a business. With this trade they dump almost 50 mil off the cap. Zach Randolph was going to make 47 million dollars over the next 3 seasons and J Craw was gonna make a about 30 million. The knicks are trying to rebuild. And its not like the knicks picked up scrub players in this trade Al harrington is a 15 point 5 reb player. Tim thomas and cuttino mobley were obviously just brought in to keep the team somewhat competitive until the 2010 season. I mean I have been a knick fan since i was a little kid and I honestly cant understand why knick fans are mad. You freed up cap space that will ultimately be put towards bringing a superstar to the garden and you got rid of a troublesome zach randolph in the locker room. The knicks have been shitty for the past 5 years... whats two more??
I dont know your right. I just want to see progress every season as fast as possible I guess. I just dont want to see the knicks like the yankees when they brought in randy johnson where they end up not being able to go deep into the playoffs. Do you think Curry and Marbury will both be gone by the start of next season?
Curry and Marbury will be gone long before the start of next season.
